Your Role In Action - 2D Lighting Design

This is the 2D design I produced from the first manual drawing. The plan was produced using the LX Free Java software that has the lighting symbols to add to the plan so it is easy to see what was wanted by the designer if they are not there for the rigging process. The number for the dimmer and channel will be at the back of these lights so that the rigger knows where to plug the light into. On the front of the light there will be the code for the colour that is wanted for the light, for example 079 would be a blue, and o/w would be open white (no gel). During the rigging session I made some changes to where the lantern would be placed and the where it would be plugged into. I also made notes on colours that hadn't yet been put in cause they were ordered but had not yet arrived.

Before the plotting sessions I updated the LX plan to make it easier to see what light is what when making a state.

I also made groups in the desk to make it quicker to make the states
Group 1 - Backlight
Group 2 - General Wash US
Group 3 - General Wash CS
Group 4 - General Wash DS
Group 5 - All General Wash
Group 6 - Audience Lights
Group 7 - All Side Lights
Group 8 - Under the stage lights
Group 9 - Birdies
